The Madison Arts Council is applying for a Legacy grant from the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council (SMAC). If Madison is awarded the grant, it will be used to hire an artist to creat a mural on the north wall of the Grand Theatre next to the new Grand Park. The search is already underway for a qualified artist to design a mural which would reflect the intergenerational and rural theme of the park.
Anyone interested in learning more about the process is encouraged to attend a community forum which will be held on Thursday, September 22nd, 7:00 PM, at Madison Mercantile.
