36th Annual Twin Brooks Threshing Show, August 13th and 14th

Shooting Suspect Apprehended in Dawson

Following a 3-and-a-half-hour standoff with law enforcement officials in Dawson on Friday (8/5) the suspect in a quadruple shooting in St. Cloud turned himself in without incident.  28-year-old Daquan Ledbetter was arrested on a warrant issued by Stearns County, and he is now being held in the Chippewa County jail in Montevideo.  U.S. Marshalls had learned that Ledbetter was staying in a Dawson residence located in the 800 block of […]

Three Dead In Crash on Highway 40

Lac qui Parle County Commissioners Meeting Report, August 2nd

The Lac qui Parle County Commissioners met on Tuesday, August 2nd.  The board approved a proposal to adjust the assistant county attorney's wage.  The wage increase will be paid out of the office stipend for 2022, resulting in no increase to the overall county attorney budget.
